In the process of purchasing a home, my girlfriend, Bernedette and I thought we would use a local mortgage company. Both yourself, and the local company had pre-approved us for an amount which enabled us to search for a home. When we found a home, we decided to use the local company, however, they failed to do the necessary things to lock us into a good rate and secure the loan we were looking for. With two weeks left until the closing we were in desperate times.

It was time to call you Gerald. On extremely short notice and obvious desperation in my voice, you assured me that you could lock us into the current rate, and also assured me the deal would close on November 10th as previously agreed with the seller. I could not have been more uneasy about the logistics of my deal, your calming affect and assurance that you have had more demanding deals (and clients ) put me more at ease.

As the day grew closer and anxiety levels rose we ran into some difficulties. As, of my own admission, I became more difficult to speak to, Angela’s professionalism and perseverance never wavered. Angela continued to work diligently, putting her personal life on hold, to make this happen. She calmly assured me this would happen. When the appraisal came back with a figure short of the loan amount, I thought we were done, Angela somehow got the appraiser to re-evaluate and modify the appraisal, and with a little compromise from the seller, at the 11th hour we closed.

Gerald, yours’ and Angela ’s knowledge and work ethic are to be commended and shouted from the mountain tops. Once again, I want to praise and thank you for your unquenchable efforts.
